The Seneca cluster is a High-Performance Computing (HPC) system jointly managed by Cornell’s Center for Advanced Computing (CAC), Weill Cornell Medicine Qatar Advanced Computing team (AdvC), and the Weill Cornell Medicine Scientific Computing Unit (SCU). It is available for research users with non-sensitive data.
Seneca Hardware and System
The Seneca cluster is currently built on four Dell XE8640 systems, each with four NVIDIA H100 GPUs, 1024GB system memory, and shared access to a 2PB storage system. The operating system is built on Rocky Linux 9 with a range of scientific software. Job submissions are managed by the SLURM scheduler with fair share-based scheduling.
